Each week the Articulate software community, E-Learning Heroes, challenges E-Learning professionals to submit projects based on certain criteria. Challenge #122 was to share one or more creative ideas for presenting opposing lists using a “Dos and Don’ts” format.
My background is in pediatric nursing and I remembered in nursing school I did a presentation at an elementary school on the Dos and Don’ts of concussion recovery. I wanted my example to have a pediatric focus, so I used a cute graphic of the brain with a happy expression and one with a sad expression. Instead of using traditional colors for Do and Don’t (green for do and red for don’t) I went for a light/dark color scheme using the bright colors for the Do column and desaturated/dark colors for the Don’t column. I wrapped it up with a little knowledge check using a drag and drop interaction for users to categorize the Dos and the Don’ts.
