Each week the Articulate software community, E-Learning Heroes, challenges E-Learning professionals to submit projects based on certain criteria. Challenge #148 was to create a checklist interaction.
Built in Articulate Storyline 2 I decided to create a checklist template that would guide a user through a series of tasks by clicking a checkbox. The color scheme for this template is linked to the color scheme in the storyline file. Built to be a template for other eLearning developers, that means that if the developer selects a new color scheme, all of the colors in the template will change to match the color scheme selected.
HOW THIS COULD HELP YOUR LEARNERS
This interaction would be great for teaching learners a complex procedure with multiple steps. Within the content area in each step, you could include a description of that step, photos, or even videos. The learner checks the box for each step to move on to the next step, emphasizing the need to complete one step before the next. You could even include a job aid for learners to download that includes a printed version of the checklist for them to use on the job.
