Each week the Articulate software community, E-Learning Heroes, challenges E-Learning professionals to submit projects based on certain criteria. Challenge #149 was to create a notecard interaction. When I think of notecards, I instantly have a flashback to college and my incredible elaborate flashcards I used while studying.
I wanted to create an interaction that would mimic the action of flipping through flashcards to learn terminology. Built in Articulate Storyline 2, I used multiple entrance and exit interactions and several triggers to pause and resume the timeline, creating this shuffling effect.
HOW THIS COULD HELP YOUR LEARNERS
This interaction would be great for any situation where learners could benefit from using real flashcards to review information. Perhaps you are creating an awareness-type course and you want learners to memorize information. You could be teaching vocabulary or acronyms at your establishment and want to give users an opportunity to review the information before taking a quiz.
